Jeffrey Williams, a native to Huntsville Alabama, he sought education at the University of Alabama in Birmingham after high school where he became active with the Office of Service-Learning that prepared him for leadership and subsequent enlistment in AmeriCorps.
Shortly after securing and executing a yearlong position at the non-profit YouthServe, he returned to his native home where he later settled in Decatur. After careful consideration, Jeffrey entered the workforce with his passion for people and food at the acclaimed Albany Bistro.
Through his work in the local food scene and his love of people, he expanded his career and personal goals to include the Committee on Church Cooperation to manage the “Soup for the Soul”, soup kitchen. Jeffrey has a passion for others and works in a variety of community functions from the Chefs Against Hunger initiative related to hunger in Morgan County to his current leadership and fundraising goals for the Carnegie Visual Arts center as a “King” candidate for the local arts community.
His endurance and dedication to others inspires daily, as his personal growth continues to prove the value in community, neighbors and friends. Friends speak of Jeffrey as one of the most influential members of the community due to his candor and commitment to values that encompass his daily life skills.
