EATDecatur would like to thank everyone for their interest in the King Cake contest for this years #CarnegieCarnival, urge your friends, family and football rivalries to participate -


EATDecatur will be partnering with the Carnegie Visual Arts Center for the Carnegie Carnival for a King Cake Contest to select the favorite king cake for our region, in particular Decatur, Alabama. We urge all restaurants and downtown businesses to enter this contest to find the best cake to support Carnegie Carnival 2014. There will be no entry fee for this contest and the winner will receive recognition via Carnegie Carnival.

RULES of ENGAGEMENT

1. Cakes must be of the "king cake" style.

2. Judging to be based on the following-
Creativity
Bread
Flavor
Texture
Presentation
Overall appearance
Moistness

3. Judging will take place at the Carnegie Visual Arts Center on Thursday, 6pm on January, 30, 2014.

4. Your recipe should be available for public release at the time a winner is announced in support of Carnegie Visual Arts.

This is a great way to create a local food flare for this growing event in Decatur and support a great cause in our community! Invite your friends and family to enter this contest!
