CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) of North Alabama is committed to promoting awareness of child abuse and neglect in our area. We hope to provide trained volunteers to advocate for every child in the judicial system.

CASA programs assist the juvenile/family court in carrying out its role in the child protective services system. The CASA volunteer is the "eyes and ears and often the heart of the court".

CASA is the only volunteer organization that empowers everyday citizens as officers of the court. In an overburdened social welfare system, abused and neglected children often slip through the cracks among hundreds of current cases. Each volunteer only cares for 1-2 cases at a time to ensure that each child is receiving the attention they deserve.
